The reality is that many modern Japanese are unwilling to listen to the opinions of others.

It is all too obvious that human beings are creatures who cannot live alone. However, in today’s Japanese society, there are so many people who do not understand even the basics of communication, which is “listening”. Moreover, most of those who say “I don’t understand” are really “not trying to understand” or “don’t want to understand”.
Of course, if the content is obviously strange, legally inappropriate, or otherwise unreasonable, it is only natural that they would not understand it. However, if it is not like that, it is just abnormal to not try to understand it from the beginning. Every human being has a “receptive mind. Listening to other people’s opinions is necessary to improve one’s life. However, if we refuse to do so, we are giving up the opportunity to improve ourselves.
Why do they not listen to the opinions of others? It is because they refuse to listen to opinions that are superior to their own or contrary to their own, out of self-preservation. Japanese people are particularly bad at confrontation, and when they do confront each other, it is no exaggeration to say that they always end up in a barren quagmire. In any case, new thinking and ideas cannot be generated out of confrontation. It is only natural that no one will express their opinions, and if this is the case, it is no different from a dictatorship.
As these people grow up, they come to believe that they are excluded from society and commit heinous acts over the slightest thing. This is what has led to the recent increase in the number of violent crimes. To prevent this from happening, I think it is important to listen to the opinions of others on a regular basis, and to give a better opinion ourselves so that we can improve each other’s lives.

This is not a matter of “thinking” or “feeling” in a naïve and naïve way. It is not too much to assert, but rather too little to say. This is “the fact”, “the reality” and “the truth”. It’s not a matter of good or bad, it’s nothing more than a golden rule that can’t be described in any other way and has absolutely no room for doubt.
